Fanta Euroleague M18, Tips

Happy 2021 from the Dunkest Euroleague staff with the M18 Tips

First tip-off set for 7pm with the match between Red Star and Fenerbahce. The big match between the merengues of Real Madrid and the AX Armani Exchange Milano of the former Rodriguez and Messina will close the day.

GUARDS

Scottie Wilbekin (Maccabi Tel Aviv, 13.8 CR): back-to-back in the tips for the former Darussafaka bomber. He comes from a series of compelling performances, and the match against Alba can be the fuel to spark the break-out performance. Challenge to high possessions where he can do very well.

Thomas Walkup (Zalgiris Kaunas, 9 CR): who is struggling is undoubtedly the play former Ludwingsburg. Three of the last 4 under the double digits, but now an interesting match is presented. With Khimki the plays often do well (Sloukas last year is only the latest in a series), and who knows if his easy propensity to assist may not bring him the first double-double of the season.

Kevin Pangos (Zenit, 9.5 CR): Zenit together with Bayern are the surprise of this Euroleague, and the mind of this team is the former Barcelona point guard. Away from home, Pascual’s boys travel in a thousand, with the trip to OAKA that evokes old memories in the mind of the Spanish coach. It still costs little for what it’s actually worth, so make time to get it while you can!

FORWARDS

Johannes Voigtmann (CSKA Moscow, 11.6 CR): the German winger together with Shengelia is the great ex of the Vitoria match between Baskonia and CSKA. On the last day he placed the first double-double of the season and it is not impossible that he can repeat himself. Above all, he is an all-around player who dirties all the statistics a bit and can do well not just scoring. He’s not cheap, but he can be a steal of the day.

Alberto Abalde (Real Madrid, 8.6 CR): without Randolph and with Deck in doubt it becomes almost mandatory. Milan suffered last year when he was at Valencia and can undoubtedly be repeated. He is objectively cheap and for T2 it can really be a makeshift master.

Oz Blayzer (Maccabi Tel Aviv, 4 cr): he is our wild card for this spot. Ideal to complete your teams, it costs the minimum wage and the field sees it unlike many of its colleagues at equal price. The Maccabi could win and the wizard of Oz could shoot some bowler hat, a weapon he has in his arsenal.

CENTERS

Walter Tavares (Real Madrid, 17.9 CR): Real Madrid hosts Ettore Messina’s Armani Exchange within their friendly walls. Milan suffers damnly from long highs and physiques, just look at Milutinov’s devastating test last week, and that’s why Tavares is here. The Cape Verdean should dominate like the Serbian last, but obviously nothing is certain. Because of course there is only death. Tyus’s arrival shouldn’t take him many minutes.

Joffrey Lauvergne (Zalgiris, 11 CR): the French center is showing an incredible consistency in his performances, but never shooting the point. With Khimki’s far from irresistible defense he can do well, and who knows, shoot the first double-double of his surprising season.

Mike Tobey (Valencia, 8.5 CR): Dubljevic tested positive for Coronavirus and consequently he will be the one to keep the centers department up and running. It’s true, the match against Barcelona is not exactly one of the easiest, but at that price a pivot who plays for 30 minutes to move up is a nice option. Evaluate him carefully.

COACH

Ioannis Sfairopoulos (Maccabi Tel Aviv, 6.8 CR): Maccabi had a bad second round, but I am sure that the Israelis will do their utmost not to miss the top 8 at the end of the year. The ascent restarts from Berlin, where they will face an Alba without two important players like Luka Sikma and Giffey. Maccabi cannot and must not make mistakes.
