NBA, Kia MVP Ladder: still Nikola Jokic Vs Joel Embiid
The updated ranking of candidates for the MVP award has been released, now increasingly a three-way battle between Jokic, Embiid, and Antetokounmpo
There are only 30 days left in the regular season and Nikola Jokic still seems to be on track to become the fourth player in NBA history, alongside Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, and Larry Bird, to win three consecutive MVP awards.
At this point in the season, the race for the MVP title seems to have become a three-way race between Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, with the first two having a significant advantage over the Bucks star.
The Nuggets center is certainly the favorite to win the MVP, but Joel Embiid‘s recent performances have gained ground on the 76ers’ center. On the lowest step of the podium, we find Giannis Antetokounmpo, who, after missing a few games due to injury, will try to lead the Bucks to finish the regular season with the best record in the league.
Jayson Tatum and Luka Doncic seem to be out of the race for the MVP title due to some missteps and injuries that have caused them to lose ground compared to the top players. Of course, nothing is decided yet, and these last few games will be crucial for the most coveted individual award race.
