Kyrie Irving on Ja Morant: “He’s been too criticized by the media”

Ja Morant returned to the team and will most likely be on the court for the first time in a month, after a difficult period of investigations and suspension, against the Rockets in the next Grizzlies game.

After the win against the Mavs, the Memphis star shared a post-game moment with Kyrie Irving (who scored 28 points against coach Jenkins’ team).

Morant found support from Kyrie Irving, who has often been involved in controversial incidents over the past year and a half. Just last January, sharing a link to a documentary deemed anti-Semitic resulted in a suspension from the NBA and a barrage of criticism from global media and the public.

Morant (who opened up in a long interview with ESPN) has also experienced, and is experiencing, a similar public situation after his Instagram live in which he showed a gun. That’s why Kyrie, especially in this period, has made it clear that he is very close to the 23-year-old who has just received his first signature shoe from Nike.
