This year, several “rookies” have managed to immediately have an important role in their respective teams. Jabari Smith, the third pick, played a lot in Houston, with an average of 12.6 points and 7.2 rebounds.
So the coach of the Magic on Paolo Banchero’s candidacy for the rookie of the year award.
