Ja Morant suspended for 25 games by the NBA

The NBA has suspended Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant for 25 games, with conditions for his return

As communicated by Commissioner Adam Silver, the NBA’s decision on Ja Morant was announced after the NBA Finals. The Memphis Grizzlies player has been suspended for 25 games, and there will be conditions for his return to the court.

The suspension comes after Morant was seen holding what appeared to be a gun in a livestream video on Instagram in May, and after he was initially suspended by the league in March for showing a gun in an Instagram video shot at a nightclub in the Denver area.

Before returning to play, [Ja Morant] will have to develop and complete a program with the league that directly addresses the circumstances that led to this repeated destructive behavior.
