NBA All-time Field Goals Made leaders
Who holds the record for field goals made? Here it is the all-time ranking of field goals scored and the record for a single game.
Another record, the usual LeBron James chasing it. After becoming the all-time leader in NBA points scored, LBJ now aims for the top spot in NBA field goals made.
NBA Field Goals Made Record
The NBA record for career field goals made is 15.837, held by the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
Kareem adds this achievement to his already impressive collection, as he also holds the top spot in the rankings for minutes played and MVP awards.
It will be tough for LeBron to break this record but not impossible. LBJ needs to maintain an average of 9 field goals made per game for the next two seasons (assuming he will play 50 games per season).
Single Game Field Goals Made Record
The record for field goals made in a single NBA game belongs to Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 36 baskets on 63 attempts on the same legendary night in 1962 when he set the record for 100 points.
To put these 36 field goals into perspective, the closest any player has come in the modern era is Kobe Bryant, who made 28 field goals during his iconic 81-point game against the Raptors.
