Dunkest NBA Fantasy Tips, R13: Julius Randle at the buzzer
Dunkest NBA Fantasy Tips: The 5 Must-Have Players for Round 13 and Key Insights
Everything you need for Round 13 of Dunkest NBA Fantasy. From fantasy basketball tips, position by position:
Guards
Chris Paul (San Antonio Spurs, 12.1 cr)
The veteran leader of the Spurs is guiding Coach Popovich’s army while awaiting the return of the 75-year-old general. If Paul can score over 10 points, a double-double is highly likely, given the timeless quality of his passing. Against the Utah Jazz, the tempo will be fast, the defenses shaky, and Paul will need to lead the dance toward W.
Desmond Bane (Memphis Grizzlies, 12 cr)
While waiting for the big arrival, the Memphis Grizzlies have at least welcomed Bane back, a key piece in Coach Jenkins’ offensive game plan. In his last outing, he already shone, and in this round, he’ll face one of the worst defenses at the moment. Embiid isn’t intimidating right now, and opponents have taken notice. Bane could become the new nightmare for the struggling Sixers, who have forgotten how to win.
Malik Beasley (Detroit Pistons, 6.7 crediti)
The former Milwaukee player is finding interesting consistency in Detroit. Beasley is one of the most experienced players on the roster and is leading the team in this promising start to the season. He has the potential to perform very well against the less-than-memorable defense of the Hornets.
Forwards
Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks, 22.7 cr)
Who am I to advise Giannis? No one, but if not now, when!? After the poor performance against the Houston Rockets (and if you had checked our Defense vs Position tool, you would have seen some hints), the price of our favorite Greek dropped, and not by a little. Now, in T1, he’ll be looking to bounce back against the fiery Chicago Bulls. The Windy City boys can have their fun, using their fast pace to execute, but they won’t be quick enough to get back on defense. The table is set, and it’s time for Giannis to feast: tzatziki and pita, all that’s missing is the beer and a 50-point performance!
Julius Randle (Minnesota Timberwolves, 14.2 cr)
Consistency isn’t his strong suit, and the 40-point performance from the last game sounds like a warning bell. However, the buzzer that everyone remembers is the one marked by his last three-pointer, which secured the win for the ‘Wolves and made him go viral across all social media. Now, it’s off to Canada, facing a hungry but still unprepared team. No one in Toronto can stop Randle when he’s on fire, so we can bet on him.
Cody Williams (Utah Jazz, 4.2 crediti)
The less famous brother of OKC’s Jalen is the real gamble of this Dunkest NBA gameweek. Despite a less-than-enthusiastic start to the season, the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft is steadily gaining more playing time on a Utah team focused on rebuilding for the future this season. It’s all about the potential profit in the matchup against San Antonio.4o mini
Center
Karl-Anthony Towns (New York Knicks, 18.3 cr)
Offensively, he’s a machine, and Thibodeau is using him until he burns out! As we know, the former Bulls coach is known for relying on a few trusted players and squeezing every bit of energy out of them from the very start of the season. For Towns, it’s a return to form, and so far, it’s benefiting him, allowing him to have his best statistical season since entering the league. However, the results are still lacking, and against the Suns—struggling with injuries—he’ll need to do more, perhaps even on the defensive end… Kat, to make up for the lost ground.
Jalen Duren (Detroit Pistons, 12.5 cr)
The Detroit Pistons center has been one of the disappointments of this season on Dunkest. The Pistons are soaring, led by the youth and talent of Cunningham, who has finally broken out. Duren still seems like a fish out of water in this well-oiled machine, especially when it comes to focus. In the last game, he managed to rack up 3 fouls in just over 4 minutes of play, and it’s not the first time his minutes have been limited due to poor foul management. Last night, outside of Dunkest’s scoring, he recorded an assist, reminding us of what he’s capable of. Let’s jump on the bandwagon now that there’s room!
Mo Bamba (Los Angeles Clippers, 4.6 crediti)
The former Magic center is one of the few truly reliable centers for this Dunkest NBA gameweek. After an impressive last outing, Bamba has once again shown he can put up a solid score even with limited minutes. He’s worth considering for the matchup against Orlando.
Coach
Doc Rivers (Milwaukee Bucks, 7.2 cr)
Milwaukee is going through a rough patch, but it’s clear the players are giving their all, as shown by the final minute against Houston. Giannis is putting everything into both defense and offense, and with Lillard’s return, the Bucks’ offensive game has significantly improved. The Bulls, now out of playoff contention, have little left to fight for this season. The Bucks, at home, must win to get back to the top where they belong.
Gregg Popovich (San Antonio Spurs, 5.8 cr)
The Spurs are aiming to make the playoffs this year, adding another piece to their journey, which has so far been filled with losses. Their negative record needs to be improved, and the only way for the Spurs to reach this goal is by winning these home games against less-equipped teams.
