NBA Playoffs, what happens to Fantabasket?
The regular season has ended, making way for the most thrilling part of the year: the NBA Playoffs. With the start of the postseason, the Dunkest Fantabasket dedicated to the Playoffs begins, offering a new challenge for all enthusiasts, with slightly different rules and dynamics compared to the regular season.
Teams not on the schedule
Teams NOT on the schedule (players, coaches, and those unavailable) will NOT be considered ‘resting teams’ and will NOT receive their average score but 0 points. Teams not on the schedule are obviously those eliminated or those already qualified, who are waiting for the opponent to face in the next round of the Playoffs.
NBA Fantasy Captain Picks

Centers
Chet Holmgren (Oklahoma City Thunder, 10.8 cr)
Holmgren has been struggling a bit with his shooting in these NBA Finals, especially from beyond the arc, but he’s still managed to contribute on defense and on the offensive glass, putting a lot of pressure on Indiana with his long wingspan. The young center could be a key factor in Game 7, especially if he manages to rediscover his three-point shot.
Forwards
Pascal Siakam (Indiana Pacers, 13.3 cr)
Pascal Siakam, even if he hasn’t reached the highs of Tyrese Haliburton, has been the steady presence the Indiana Pacers have relied on during this long Playoff run. Now, he has the chance to put the icing on the cake with a championship – and who knows, maybe even an MVP title. The Cameroonian forward is on a mission and won’t stop until there’s a ring on his finger.
Guards
Andrew Nembhard (Indiana Pacers, 8.4 cr)
The Canadian guard of the Indiana Pacers has been a key figure in these Finals, especially on defense, managing – with mixed results – to hinder the attempts of the reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. But in Game 7, he will also make a difference on offense. Despite being early in his career, Nembhard has shown he can elevate his game in the postseason, and now he’ll have to do it in the most important game of his life.
Coach
Rick Carlisle (Indiana Pacers, 8.4 cr)
It’s always risky to bet on the away team in a Game 7, but I feel confident in the excellent Pacers coach, who I believe will lead the team to victory, earning his second ring after the one he won in 2011 with Dirk Nowitzki’s Dallas Mavericks.
