Tips Fantasy NBA M5

Some of the latest results have been really surprising, which is why you’ll need our help more than ever in order to pick the best team for M5

First of all, let us wish you a happy new year! And what better way to do it than by giving you our tips for the fifth matchday of this NBA season? After a 3-round matchday on M4, we go back to 2 rounds for this one. These are our tips for M5:

Centers

  • Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers, 19.3 credits): He doesn’t always play, but when he does he’s as close to unstoppable as you can get. Despite their positive record, no one on the Hornets can guard him.
  • Montrezl Harrell (Los Angeles Lakers, 12 credits): Just like on M4, the Lakers will face the Spurs. 2 days ago, Trez missed the double-double by a rebound, so we count on him to make up for that.
  • Enes Kanter (Portland Trail Blazers, 7.8 credits): He’s been in top shape so far, even better than Portland’s starting center Nurkic. You can’t help but pick him in a match-up against the Warriors, especially since he’ll probably take on the second unit of Steve Kerr’s team.

Forwards

  • Domantas Sabonis (Indiana Pacers, 16.3 credits): Even when he doesn’t properly shine on a fantasy basketball level, he shines on the court. Also, after facing the Celtics twice in a row, a match-up against the Knicks will give him the chance to repeat the performance he had on M1.
  • Aaron Gordon (Orlando Magic, 10.1 credits): This Magic team is shockingly good, and it’s also thanks to Gordon. He’s a must-pick on M5, as the Magic take on the Thunder.
  • Kyle Anderson (Memphis Grizzlies, 7.8 credits): One of the most pleasant surprises of the season so far. With Morant out, he’s going to take on even more responsibility, which might result in him being one of the best fantasy players of this matchday.

Guards

  • Damian Lillard (Portland Trail Blazers, 17.1 credits): This can’t be the real Dame Lillard, not a chance. Which is why you have to give him a chance against the Warriors. No one can guard him and the one-on-one with Curry should be a big enough motivation for him to start performing the way he’s supposed to.
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC Thunder, 12.6 credits): He hasn’t turned into the leader the Thunder need just yet, but that doesn’t mean he can’t put up great stats night in and night out. He’s pretty low-cost and a good pick against the Magic.
  • Darius Garland (Cleveland Cavaliers, 9 credits): On M4 we learned that the Cavs are not invincible, but we already knew that. What we didn’t expect was for them to fal against the New York Knicks! On M5 they’ll take on the Hawks and, as Lloyd Pierce’s team will be on the second leg of a back-to-back, Cleveland definitely has a chance. Garland is low-cost and he’s been doing pretty well so far, so he might definitely be the steal of the day.

Coach

  • James Borrego (Charlotte Hornets, 5.9 credits): Seeing the latest results, it’s becoming more and more difficult to pick the right coach for your team. However, the Hornets are on a roll and will be taking on a Morant-less Grizzlies team.
