Tips Fantasy NBA M9
Some players won’t be available due to positive tests or contact tracing, so we had to dig a little deeper this time around
Covid-19 made M8 the toughest matchday so far, as Jayson Tatum and Seth Curry tested positive and the game between the Nuggets and the Sixers was in jeopardy until a couple hours before the start. Now let’s try and take a look at the best fantasy players for M9, hoping that no one else tests positive in the next few hours.
Centers
- Rudy Gobert (Utah Jazz, 17 credits): We know he’s been letting us down in these first few games, but on M9 he should be able to go back to his real self, as the Jazz are taking on the Pistons. The double-double alert is always on, but we hope that he can score a little bit more this time around.
- Jarrett Allen (Brooklyn Nets, 11.7 credits): He immediately gets the chance to make up for his poor performance on M8. The Thunder are proving to be tougher than anyone expected, but we doubt that they’ll be able to prevent Allen from notching a double-double.
- Bismack Biyombo (Charlotte Hornets, 7.3 credits): If you want to save some credits, he’s your guy. The Hornets will go up against the Knicks, with Thibodeau’s team on the second leg of a back-to-back.
Forwards
- Domantas Sabonis (Indiana Pacers, 16.8 credits): After a monster display in the loss against the Suns, facing the Sacramento Kings should be a walk in the park. The Pacers are the favorite and, most importantly, no one seems to be able to stop their big man.
- Pascal Siakam (Toronto Raptors, 13.9 credits): Last time he flirted with the triple-double, putting up 17 points, 9 rebound and 12 assists. We don’t expect him to repeat that kind of performance, but he can definitely take advantage of Golden State’s defense, despite the fact that Draymond Green should be on the court.
- Keldon Johnson (San Antonio Spurs, 7.5 credits): What started as a surprise is starting to look like a reality. The Spurs have now won 3 in a row and, against the Timberwolves, they’ll be looking to make it 4. If Johnson keeps playing like this, the streak could get longer and longer, as the 21-year-old is becoming one of the central pieces of the team.
Guards
- Donovan Mitchell (Utah Jazz, 13.6 credits): Just like Gobert, he can take advantage of the Pistons’ defense pretty easily. As far as fantasy basketball goes, he’s been struggling so far, but he’s coming off his best performance yet, where he put up 36.75 PDK. This time around, he might do even better.
- LaMelo Ball (Charlotte Hornets, 10.6 credits): Even though it didn’t count for our fantasy basketball, you have to take into account that he just became the youngest player ever to notch a triple-double. He’s growing exponentially and the match-up against the Knicks gives him the chance to shine once again.
- Tyrese Maxey (Philadelphia 76ers, 6.6 credits): He’s coming off the performance of his life and, even if Ben Simmons came back, Doc Rivers will probably give him a good deal of minutes on the court. He knows how to make the best out of the opportunities he gets.
Coach
- Quin Snyder (Utah Jazz, 8.6 credits): Considering the match-up against the Pistons and the fact that he’s pretty low-cost, you won’t find a better option for M9. The Utah Jazz are a safe bet.
